Italy's retail sales edge up in February, annual trend weakens
Italy’s retail trade edged up 0.1 per cent in value in February 2025 month-on-month, while volume was flat, Istat has reported. Over three months, value rose 0.1 per cent but volume fell 0.3 per cent. Year-on-year, retail value dropped 1.5 per cent and volume 2.5 per cent. Online sales fell for a second month. Shoes and leather goods saw the sharpest fall at 6.2 per cent.
