India’s leather industry sees modest recovery, hits $4.36 bn in FY25
India’s leather and leather goods exports rose marginally by 1.86 per cent to $4.36 billion in FY 2024–25, recovering slightly from a 9.89 per cent decline the previous year. March 2025 exports grew 7.75 per cent month on month. The US, Germany and the UK were the top markets, accounting for over 42 per cent of total shipments. Other key destinations included Italy, Spain, France and China.
