Zara has opened its new store at Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow today (20 March).

Zara has opened the doors to its new store at Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow today (20 March).
The launch sees the fashion retailer, which recently saw its owner’s profits and sales jump, move into the former Debenhams site, based in the centre of Silverburn.
The new store is spread across two floors and features an expanded range of womenswear, menswear and childrenswear.
Additionally, the unit has been decked with a new façade and flagship design and features Zara’s latest store concept and integrated online services.
Silverburn general manager David Pierotti said: “The long-awaited launch of the brand-new Zara store marks an exciting new chapter for Silverburn, reaffirming our position as a premier destination for brands seeking exceptional spaces to showcase their offerings.
“We are committed to delivering a best-in-class retail and leisure experience, and the arrival of Zara is a testament to that.”
He added: “It was fantastic to see the first customers step through the doors, and we look forward to welcoming even more in the months ahead.
“With a flurry of new openings on the horizon, this is just the beginning of what promises to be a very exciting year for Silverburn.”
The move comes after Zara opened its “significantly upsized flagship” on upper and lower South John Street at Liverpool ONE in January, with the shop increased in size by 55% to 42,000 sq ft.
The Silverburn store launch spearheads various new shop openings and moves within the centre, including the arrival of menswear brand Jack & Jones.
Hotel Chocolat also opens at the centre tomorrow (21 March), with the new concept store housing the brand’s Velvetiser Café.
Additionally, Vision Express moved to a larger, newly-refurbished store this week.
