Energy saving heat pumps have become a popular choice for domestic and commercial properties and can now be installed to serve larger commercial and industrial spaces without the need for expensive and intrusive ductwork and rooftop equipment.
The Robur ENext Pro split system heat pump provides energy efficient heating and cooling for factories, workshops, showrooms and other occupied spaces.
Providing 39kW of heating, and 35kW of cooling, each system is sufficient to serve 400 sq m or more and will continue to heat when the outdoor temperature is as low as -20°C.
With a COP of 4.5 the maximum power input is just 12kW. This would represent an annual energy cost saving of 30-50% depending on the equipment being replaced, and with the equivalent carbon reduction. This could represent a huge reduction in overall energy costs and a relatively short payback on capital investment.
The ENext Pro comprises an indoor blower capable of a 15-20m adjustable air throw and each indoor unit is piped to an externally mounted heat pump outdoor unit. Indoor and outdoor sections are connected to each other with refrigerant pipework which needs to be installed by a qualified engineer.
There is a wide choice of controls which offer temperature and fan speed settings, hourly and weekly time settings and a multi controller for up to 15 heaters.
Each system can also provide comfort cooling. This is a benefit which can offer comfort for workers and occupants and may also help prolong the life of perishable stock. Providing cooling to a large space can also reduce running and maintenance costs and increase the working life of refrigeration equipment such as fridges and cabinets.
For areas with high ceilings ENext Pro heat pumps can be installed alongside de-stratification fans, a relatively inexpensive way to ensure better coverage and further reduce running costs.
Robur heaters are distributed in the UK by Environmental Site Supplies Limited (ESS), who are celebrating 25 years as a HVAC trade supplier.
