Exotec, the global warehouse robotics company, is opening up a number of its cutting-edge warehouses to the industry in a brand-new series of ‘Exotours’.
The company, that recently announced the Next Generation of its automated warehouse robotics system, Skypod, is offering tours of its Decathlon, BlueStar and Bleu Libellule sites dotted across Europe.
The ‘open house’ style tours are occurring throughout the year, with the first to taking place in early March. Over 20 attendees will visit a site located in Northampton, England, which is equipped with 108 Skypod Robots retrieving goods from over 80,000 bins.
Attendees from across the industry will have the opportunity to see the Exotec Skypod technology in action, speak directly with Exotec’s customers, and learn how the system could be implemented into their own supply chain.
By signing up to a tour, industry stakeholders can speak to both Exotec’s customers and technical experts, learning about their experiences with Skypod technology through dedicated Q&A sessions.
Visitors will also learn more about Exotec’s complete suite of features, the installation process, and how the technology can be tailored to their needs and the physical space available.
Exotec’s technology is operational in over 150 warehouses globally and enables warehouse operators and retailers to improve their operational efficiency by over 50%.
The Next Generation of Skypod brings a range of design improvements to the original version of the system, including a new and more compact Skypod robot, a workstation for robot-to-robot picking, high-throughput exchanger, and denser storage capabilities.
Romain Moulin, CEO and co-founder of Exotec, said: “The traditional methods of sorting, picking and packing are a thing of the past. We’re now in an era where robotics can do much of the hard work for us.
“As a result, the technology we’ve been developing is at the cutting-edge of warehouse logistics, and our Next Generation Skypod technology allows us to develop solutions that set the industry standard.
“An example of this is our work with BlueStar. It’s one of our proudest achievements, and we’re looking forward to welcoming other warehouse operators and retailers on-site to take a look.”
