We’re all curious how the other half live! So, we asked the holiday rental experts from Vacation Marbella to give us a glimpse into how their millionaire and billionaire clients live.
They work closely with their clients before their holiday to arrange every detail, and the bigger the villa, the more extravagant the requests. They’ve had to sort out everything from private chefs, personal trainers and yoga teachers, to limo services, private jets and helicopter services.
But nothing is too much trouble, so they’ve been asked to fill the house with their favourite flowers, bring in a grand piano, arrange a supercar for the day, book tables at Michelin starred restaurants and much more.
But we couldn’t believe what they found when a billionaire checked out of the spectacular Villa Imare Waterfront. CEO Borja Rodriguez explains.
A Bugatti in the Villa Imare garage
The cleaning team came in after check out to find a Bugatti worth over $3 million left in the garage.
They’d hired it for an experience at the famous Ascari circuit and to cruise around Puerto Banus in style. There was a note on the windscreen for us to call the luxury car hire company and arrange pick up.
A pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes left in the dressing room
It’s not unusual for some items to get left behind when guests check out, as they are often in a hurry. But it was something to find a nearly brand-new pair of the iconic Manolo Blahniks at the back of the dressing room. These shoes are worth around $1,000, and were carefully packed up by our team and sent by courier to rejoin their owner!
A photo with a famous actor with a message of thanks to the team
Our whole team were really touched to find a picture of the family and a very important Malaga-born actor left for us at the villa. It was signed by the client who wrote a message of thanks for making his holiday extra special. That was such a lovely touch and it made us feel very proud for going above and beyond for this VIP guest.
He left a bottle of wine valued at 1000 euros
As the team cleaned and emptied out the cupboards and fridge, they found a very special bottle of wine left in the wine rack. They could tell it was a special one, so brought it back to the office and we found out it was worth 1000€. We contacted the client to ask if they would like us to courier it back to them, but he told us to enjoy it as a thank you!
He painted a picture to decorate the villa’s living room
This particular client was very artistic and had asked us to arrange for painting supplies to be delivered to the villa, as he said the light and the seafront position of the villa inspired him. We had an easel and art supplies set up for him on the terrace before they arrived.
When the cleaning team arrived, they found a stunning painting leaning up against the living room wall, with a note saying that we could use it to add to the decoration for the living room. It now takes pride of place! Thanks to Vacation Marbella for giving us such a wonderful insight into the habits of the rich and famous.
