Starbucks Unveils 4 New Summer Drinks and Brings Back a Beloved Dessert

Starbucks is set to introduce four new beverage items in mid-summer, rounding out the warmer months with a series of exciting sips and the return of a beloved dessert.

Reputable food blogger Markie Devo shared the news on Instagram, revealing that the new products will drop the first week of July. This quartet of cold drinks will hit the spot during summer’s heat.

Devo shared drink details on social media. Each new beverage features Starbucks’ signature cold foam as a focal part of its recipe.

From July 1 through July 7, 2025, Starbucks will drop its new Firework Frappuccino. This drink features the Summer-Berry Fefresher along with coconut milk, raspberry pearls, strawberry puree, and vanilla sweet cream cold foam, and it has a red, white, and blue hue perfect for Independence Day.

Beginning July 8, the coffee retailer will debut its Strato Frappuccino Beverages. A trio of flavors elevates these frosty beverages to delicious new heights.

First, there will be a Salted Caramel Mocha Strato Frapp, a mocha frapp layered with silky salted caramel cream cold foam and finished with a caramel drizzle. Second, a Strawberry Matcha Strato Frapp featuring matcha creme topped with strawberry cream cold foam will join the summer menu. Finally, Starbucks will introduce its Brown Sugar Strato Frapp, which is a coffee frapp layered with a brown sugar cold foam and finished with cinnamon powder.

These items come on the heels of the coffee retailer’s early summer menu drop in April 2025. The retailer released its Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, which features Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast combined with horchata syrup — a fusion of cinnamon, vanilla, and rice flavors. The beverage is shaken and topped with oatmilk.

Summer Berry Refreshers have also returned to the chain’s menu. These drinks feature a blend of raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry flavors shaken with ice and water and poured over raspberry-flavored pearls. Refreshers can also be ordered with lemonade as part of Starbucks’ Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher or with creamy coconut milk in the brand’s Summer Skies Drink.  

Starbucks’ Fan-Favorite Dessert Returns to Menus

Markie Devo also shared news of the return of a fan-favorite dessert to Starbucks’ summer menu. The Double Chocolate Brownie is a dense, fudgy brownie made with chunks of semi-sweet and dark chocolate. The dessert is known for its intense cocoa flavor, moist texture, and slightly crisp top, offering a satisfying contrast in every bite.

Starbucks initially discontinued this beloved dessert in April 2025 as part of a broader initiative to streamline its menu and focus on more popular offerings. The decision, confirmed by Starbucks in April 2025, aligned with the company’s “Back to Starbucks” strategy, which aimed to reduce food and beverage options by approximately 30% to enhance quality and operational efficiency.

At that time, Starbucks cited low popularity as a reason for the dessert’s discontinuation. This led to surprise from employees and customers, noting that the brownie was a favorite among patrons. However, with its rich, fudgy texture and unmistakable chocolatey goodness, the return of the Double Chocolate Brownie is more than just a menu update, it’s a sweet reunion for fans who’ve missed this beloved treat.
