Primark to enter Middle East market with four stores by 2026

Primark will make its Middle East debut by early 2026 with four stores across the UAE and Kuwait, in partnership with franchise operator Alshaya Group.
The retailer‘s first store is set to open in October at The Avenues in Kuwait. This will be followed by three locations in Dubai—Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and City Centre Mirdif—in early 2026.
Primark and Alshaya also plan to explore additional expansion opportunities across the region.
Primark interim chief executive Eoin Tonge said: “We’re excited to be taking the next step in our global expansion journey, creating new stores for more customers to enjoy shopping with us.
“We know there is already a strong cohort of shoppers ready and waiting for us and we believe the wider region holds a lot of potential for Primark and our value proposition.
“We can’t wait to bring them their first Primark later this year in The Avenues, Kuwait, before we continue to expand with more stores planned for Dubai next year.”
The retailer currently operates over 460 stores across 17 markets.
Back in March, Primark CEO Paul Marchant resigned from his role with immediate effect following an investigation into alleged inappropriate behaviour towards a female colleague.
The fashion retailer’s parent company Associated British Foods said an investigation was launched after a claim was brought forward against Marchant by an individual about his behaviour towards her in a social environment.
