Pepsi is giving its inflation-weary customers a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win up to $20,000 this summer. By popular demand, the soda company has brought its popular Bottle Lotto promotion back as of May 12, and it will run for the rest of the summer. Here are the details on how to win.

Pepsi Bottle Lotto: How To Win

Per a press release shared with RetailWire, customers can win cash prizes simply by drinking their favorite refreshing PepsiCo beverages, which include Pepsi, Starry, Mountain Dew, Mug, and Aquafina. On Tuesday, May 12, PepsiCo launched its new Bottle Lotto Sweepstakes, allowing fans nationwide to make the most of the summer. Everyone’s favorite PepsiCo beverage brands will collaborate for the summer-long sweepstakes, offering cash prizes for purchasing specially marked 20-ounce bottles of Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Starry, Mug, and Aquafina.

The Bottle Lotto Sweepstakes will be available in all 50 states in the U.S., with participants having the opportunity to win prizes every 60 seconds. Each code submitted instantly enters fans into a weekly $20,000 jackpot. Prize categories include:

  • Grand Prize: 13 winners
  • Instant Prize: 128,879 winners

To kick off the campaign, the beverage giant will bring the Bottle Lotto Sweepstakes to some of the most popular summer destinations throughout the season, including Vegas MGM, Bally’s Atlantic City, the Cleveland Guardians, the Mall of America, the Twins Game, and Icon Park.

PepsiCo is launching a series of fascinating online ads for the Bottle Lotto Sweepstakes, utilizing one of its real-life delivery truck drivers and other iconic characters such as the Mountain Dude. After auditioning 10 PepsiCo truck drivers, Dwight Beard Jr., an employee from Tulsa, Oklahoma, was chosen to appear in the advertisement. Dwight is distributing cash all summer, adding a personal touch to the campaign and generating enthusiasm among fans countrywide.

Tariff Fallout

Meanwhile, Pepsi is bracing itself for the impact of the ongoing Trump tariffs. Recognizing the potential economic impact and taking a proactive approach, the beverage and snack behemoth is planning a strategic reaction to reduce future financial burden.

PepsiCo imports most of its soda concentrate from Ireland, so the ingredient will be subject to a 10% duty. In addition, the aluminum used to make beverage cans could face a 25% tariff.

“We’ve factored in what we know about tariffs today, and we factored in mitigation plans,” said CFO Jamie Caulfield in a conference call, per AP News. “Some of those will be able to execute more quickly. Some of those will take more time to execute.”

Caufield did not provide any further information about the “plans.” However, the corporation could implement some measures to potentially reduce tariff payments.

For example, the beverage giant may change drink packaging away from metal cans and toward plastic bottles. Second, the corporation might relocate more of its soda concentrate production away from Ireland. It already operates a factory in Texas that produces beverage concentrates.

The company’s most recent quarter’s income declined nearly 2% to $17.9 billion. It also recorded a net profit of $1.8 billion, down 10% year over year.

The company’s beverage sales in North America declined 3%, and food revenues fell 1%, though the company’s Frito-Lay snack division had the most in sales.

PepsiCo forecasts zero growth in fiscal 2025, citing tariff worries. Despite previous expectations of single-digit percentage increases, the beverage firm has reversed course and now expects earnings growth to remain flat for the year.

“We expect more volatility and uncertainty, particularly related to global trade developments, which we expect will increase our supply chain costs,” CEO Ramon Laguarta said about the potential incoming tariffs, per Barron’s
