A pioneering partnership between a small UK charity and a leading contract packing provider is proving that logistics can change lives, one Baby Box at a time.
The Children’s Foundation, a Newcastle-based charity focused on improving the health and well-being of children in the North East of England, developed an innovative initiative to support vulnerable first-time mums.
But with limited space and resources, the charity faced a major barrier: how to assemble and distribute the complex packs that form the cornerstone of its project.
Enter Stiller Contract Packaging, a logistics and fulfilment provider based at Aycliffe Business Park, the largest business park in the North East of Europe. Recognising the potential impact of the initiative, Stiller stepped in to provide a complete store, assemble, pack, and fulfilment model that brought the charity’s vision to life.
The result is the Baby Box: a thoughtfully curated package designed to offer vital support for new mums and their babies. Each box includes 30 carefully selected items, from a mattress, sheet, and blanket for safe sleeping, to books, toys and games that help encourage early bonding and brain development.
Stillers’ 42,000 sq. ft. facility and dedicated workforce ensure each Baby Box is assembled with care and consistency. The attention to detail means that every recipient opens a box presented beautifully and predictably, a small but significant touch that increases the sense of reassurance and support.
To date, Stiller has assembled and distributed more than 1,500 Baby Boxes across the North East, and have committed to supporting the project on a long-term basis, completely free of charge. Their in-kind support is not just logistical; it is transformational. The post Partnership delivers lifeline first appeared on Warehouse & Logistics News.
