THE WHAT? Church & Dwight has announced plans to acquire hand sanitizer brand Touchland® in a deal worth up to US$880 million, including a US$700 million upfront payment and an earn-out tied to 2025 net sales.
THE DETAILS The agreement includes a combination of cash and Church & Dwight restricted stock, plus up to US$180 million in additional payments based on performance. Touchland, currently the #2 hand sanitizer brand in the U.S., generated approximately US$130 million in net sales and US$55 million in EBITDA over the 12-month period ending March 31, 2025. The brand, known for its design-forward packaging and popularity among younger consumers, is currently sold in the U.S., Canada, and recently launched in the Middle East through Sephora.
The acquisition is expected to close in Q2 2025, pending customary closing conditions. Touchland’s founders will remain with the company, which will continue to operate from its Miami headquarters.
THE WHY? The acquisition adds an eighth “power brand” to Church & Dwight’s personal care portfolio and reflects a continued strategy of targeting asset-light, high-growth brands with strong consumer loyalty. As demand for premium hand hygiene products persists post-pandemic, Touchland’s positioning—at the intersection of function, design, and wellness—makes it a valuable asset in the personal care space. Church & Dwight plans to scale the brand further through international expansion and its existing distribution network.
