M&S resumes online orders following cyber attack
M&S has begun taking online orders again after it was forced to shut down its ecommerce business following a cyber attack.

M&S has begun taking online orders again, more than six weeks after it was forced to shut down its ecommerce business following a cyber attack.
The retail giant said on its website that some of its “best-selling fashion ranges” are now available for home delivery to England, Scotland and Wales.
It plans to add more of its fashion, home and beauty products to the site each day.
Click and collect, next-day delivery, nominated-day delivery and international shipping will also resume in the coming weeks, M&S added.
The high street retailer had previously said that disruption to its website could continue until July.
M&S is estimated to be losing about £25m in online clothing and homewares sales a week after it was forced to suspend its ecommerce operations.
The retailer expects the fallout from the cyber attack over the May bank holiday to cost up to £300m in group operating profit – though it estimates that half of that figure will be mitigated “through management of costs, insurance and other trading actions”.
