McDonald’s Beloved Snack Wraps Get Release Date
McDonald's listened to fans and made the menu item permanent.

After months of anticipation among McDonald’s customers, the beloved menu item, Snack Wraps, finally has a release date.
On June 3, 2025, Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald’s USA, released a statement in response to questions about the Snack Wrap’s return to the fast-food giant’s menu. “It’s back. 7.10.25.”
Per a company press site, the company shared details about the sandwich’s return to McDonald’s menus. “The Snack Wrap features one of our new McCrispy Strips — a juicy chicken strip made with all white meat — topped with crisp shredded lettuce and shredded cheese, all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla.”
The wrap will be available in two flavors. The first is Ranch, with hints of garlic and onion. The second is Spicy, which has a habanero kick similar to the brand’s Spicy McCrispy sandwich. The Snack Wraps will be available a la carte or as a combo meal, which includes two Snack Wraps, medium fries, and a drink of choice.
Additionally, the Snack Wrap will be a permanent part of the McDonald’s menu. “After years of fans demanding its return, we’re excited to bring back the Snack Wrap as long as you keep enjoying it at McDonald’s,” reads a statement. The Snack Wrap was phased out nationally in 2016, but countless social media posts and full-fledged petitions allowed the return to happen.
The brand introduced a new interactive website, The Snack Wrap Files. It was created to highlight the bond fans have with the Snack Wrap and will deliver engaging, iconic, and never-before-seen content, leading up to the menu item’s official return in July.
McDonald’s Fans React to the News
McDonald’s fans expressed strong feelings about the beloved Snack Wrap making a permanent comeback to the fast-food chain’s menu, sharing their thoughts on Instagram.
Food blogger Markie Devo wrote, “Are my blinkers deceiving me!! Is this real life!! I’m deff lovin it!!” However, a second fan gave the fast-food giant a stern warning about the menu item’s return: “Please make sure it’s the same exact recipe. Don’t change the chicken. Don’t change the lettuce. Don’t change the cheese. Don’t change the ranch. Don’t change the tortilla. Keep it the same.”
Upon learning that the retro food item would return, some McDonald’s fans took their shot at encouraging the retailer to return another menu item to stores — the McDonald’s Salad Shaker.
“2 words. SALAD SHAKERS!!!” wrote a social media fan. A second echoed their statement, “Now bring back the McSalad Shaker.”
Not to be undone, Popeyes added its two cents to the chat. McDonald’s fast food competitor weighed in on the excitement, writing, “Glad we could make that happen.”
On June 2, Popeyes added three new Chicken Wraps to its menu. The wraps are available in Classic, Spicy, and Honey Mustard and are made with crispy chicken strips, lettuce, shredded cheese, and pickles in a warm tortilla, and they are eerily similar to the McDonald’s classic.
