THE WHAT? L’Oréal has named Delphine Viguier-Hovasse as its first-ever Chief Innovation & Prospective Officer, a newly created executive-level position aimed at reinforcing the group’s global leadership in beauty innovation.
THE DETAILS Effective July 1, 2025, Viguier-Hovasse will join L’Oréal’s Executive Committee and report to Barbara Lavernos, Deputy CEO in charge of Research, Innovation & Technology. The new role brings together L’Oréal’s existing Innovation teams and Strategic Prospective Department to drive long-term thinking and cross-functional innovation strategy. Viguier-Hovasse joined L’Oréal in 1997 and most recently served as Global Brand President of L’Oréal Paris, where she oversaw launches like Elsève Glycolic Gloss and Panorama Mascara, and led initiatives around female empowerment.
THE WHY? The appointment reflects L’Oréal’s intent to align its innovation strategy with evolving consumer needs and emerging industry trends.
