— Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, in comments given earlier this month, as she accepted the 2025 Truman Good Neighbor Award from the Truman Good Neighbor Foundation. As noted by The Gavel blog of The Hill, Jackson is by far the most vocal jurist on the bench, having said 75,535 words during oral arguments this term, which is more than 50 percent higher than any of her colleagues. Justice Sonia Sotomayor is in second place, with 49,448 words spoken, and Justice Elena Kagan is in third place, with 48,188 words spoken.
