Haute Wine Society And Simon Family Estate Celebrate Chef Josiah Citrin

On May 14,  Haute Wine Society and Simon Family Estate hosted an exclusive dinner honoring renowned chef Josiah Citrin. Held at Citrin, Chef Citrin’s eponymous one-Michelin-starred restaurant, the evening celebrated the artistry of modern Californian cuisine paired with Simon Family Estate wines.

Guests arrived at the elegant Wilshire Boulevard destination in Santa Monica to indulge in a thoughtfully curated four-course tasting experience.

The intimate affair welcomed a who’s who of the wine and culinary world, including Vanessa Conlin of the Simon Family Estate, Price Arana, JD and Elle Harriman, Crime by Design, Gianna Kneubuehl, Gaston Balbi, Priscilla Neves, Gregg Zucker, April Donelson, Managing Director at Haute Media Group, and more.

The night opened with wild mushrooms, ricotta cheese topped with doppio green garlic and aged Comté, complemented by a crisp 2024 Simony Family Estate Tigress Rosé of Grenache. For the second course, Vermillion rock fish with morels and brawn butter took center stage for coastal cuisine paired with 2022 Simon Family Estate Golden Ore Sauvignon Blanc, while the showstopping prime beef tenderloin, rich with toasted barley and spring onion, was paired with not one, but two expressions of Simon Family Estate’s Cabernet Sauvignon. For dessert, guests savored a decadent dark chocolate tart stracciatella.
