Global air cargo demand hits March record amid tariff changes: IATA
Global air cargo demand rose 4.4 per cent YoY in March 2025, hitting a record high for the month, with international growth at 5.5 per cent, according to IATA. Asia-Pacific led regional growth, while Africa saw the sharpest decline. The Europe–North America route was the busiest. Lower jet fuel prices and front-loaded shipments ahead of tariff changes contributed to the strong performance.
