Germany’s GDP grows 0.2% in Q1 2025 after late 2024 dip

Germany’s GDP grew by 0.2 per cent in Q1 2025 from the previous quarter, after a 0.2 per cent decline in Q4 2024, according to Destatis. Compared with the first quarter of 2024, GDP fell by 0.4 per cent in price-adjusted terms and 0.2 per cent after price and calendar adjustments. Household consumption and capital formation rose quarter-on-quarter.
