CTPA Celebrates 80 Years!

Incorporated in 1945, the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA) is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year.

To mark the occasion, the Association held its Anniversary Dinner on 12 June. The evening was a wonderful celebration of 80 years of CTPA’s work within the cosmetics and personal care industry, and a thank you to over 200 members, Government representatives, partners, stakeholders and friends who have collaborated with CTPA over the years.

As part of the evening’s celebration, CTPA premiered its Anniversary Movie, A Story That We Share, alongside keynote speeches from:

• Thierry Cheval, Chair of CTPA
• Dr Emma Meredith OBE, Director-General of CTPA
• Geoff Percy, Chair of Look Good Feel Better UK

Told through the voices of numerous CTPA members and stakeholders, A Story That We Share is a tribute to the Association’s collective journey—past, present and future—and to its continued achievements and strengths:

• As the voice of the UK cosmetics industry
• As an indispensable partner to all
• As the driver of collective progress
• Supporting members in the UK and internationally
• Paving the way for a sustainable future

During the evening, a Silent Auction and raffle were held to benefit the cancer support charity Look Good Feel Better.

Dr Emma Meredith OBE, Director-General, CTPA, said:

“For 80 years, CTPA has championed cosmetic science, innovation, and excellence. This isn’t just our story; as we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we honour the partnerships, breakthroughs and shared vision that have shaped the industry and society itself.

Anniversaries such as this are the occasion to celebrate past and present successes and look forward to an exciting future—to acknowledge where we have been and direct where we are heading, together with our members and key partners.

Our industry’s products and services touch all our lives every day, making a positive difference to our hygiene, health and our wellbeing. I want to thank our Board of Directors, committees and all our members for their incredible support and the powerful work we do together; and I want to pay tribute to the CTPA team for their exceptional work.”
