Stat(s) Of The Week: Get Up, Stand Up
ATL readers weigh in on Trump's war on Biglaw. The post Stat(s) Of The Week: Get Up, Stand Up appeared first on Above the Law.

American lawyers overwhelmingly oppose the agreements some major law firms have struck in response to the Trump administration’s executive actions, with more than 90% of respondents to a new Above the Law survey agreeing that such deals involve “giving in to extortion.”
ATL surveyed its readers last month, receiving responses from more than 850 lawyers, law students, professors, judges, and concerned citizens. Many who responded work at firms targeted by the Trump administration.
Overall, 91% of respondents believe that law firms that “make agreements with the administration are giving in to extortion,” while 88% of in-house counsel say they’re less likely to engage with a firm that caves to the administration’s threats.
Stay tuned for the full results of the Biglaw Intimidation Survey, coming soon.
Meanwhile, you can track what all of the Am Law 200 firms are doing — or not doing — in the face of Trump’s attacks on the legal industry in ATL’s Biglaw Spine Index.
