Rieter will acquire Barmag from OC Oerlikon for CHF 713 million (~$870 million), forming a global leader in natural and manmade fibres. The move expands Rieter’s capabilities, especially in Asia-Pacific, and strengthens its portfolio. Backed by major shareholders, the deal is set to close in fourth quarter of 2025 (Q4 2025), subject to regulatory approvals and shareholder approval.
