Nike to hike retail prices and return to Amazon amid tariff uncertainty
Nike is set to hike its retail prices from 1 June amid the Trump tariffs.

Nike is set to hike its retail prices from 1 June amid the Trump tariffs.
The sportswear giant, which recently reported a sales drop in its first quarter, is set to raise the cost of its shoes that cost £74.50 or more by as much as £7.50, according to the BBC.
The prices of its equipment and clothes will also jump by between £1.50 and £7.50.
The price hikes have been driven by a range of internal and external factors, the BBC said.
Nike also revealed that it would begin selling items directly to Amazon in the US for the first time since 2019.
Nike sources its products primarily from China, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand, all of which have all been impacted by the tariffs.
However, Nike did not attribute the tariffs as a reason behind the price increases.
Speaking to the BBC, a spokesperson said: “We regularly evaluate our business and make pricing adjustments as part of our seasonal planning.”
Earlier this week, a company representative for Nike revealed that it was making job cuts in its technology division.
In an email, the representative explained that the sportswear giant was set to move some of the work in its tech arm to third-party vendors.
