NCTO hails pause on tariffs for imported goods compliant with USMCA
The NCTO recently thanked President Donald Trump for pausing the 25-per cent penalty tariffs on qualifying imports from Mexico and Canada under the USMCA trade deal for a month, while all parties continue to negotiate a deal to address the US administration concerns over illegal immigration and fentanyl trafficking. Such tariffs would only serve to harm a key US manufacturing sector, he noted.
