Kim Kardashian ‘Finally’ Graduates From ‘Law School’

It’s law school graduation season, and after a trying journey, everyone’s favorite reality TV star turned entrepreneur and actress, Kim Kardashian, has graduated from her legal apprenticeship program. “I finally graduated law school after 6 years!!!” she captioned a series of videos added to her Instagram Stories, showing some of the details from her backyard commencement ceremony.

Kardashian began her studies in 2018, and since 2019, when she officially announced that she was studying to become a lawyer without going to law school, Kardashian has offered us glimpses into her life as a law student through her social media feeds. Her law office study program was supposed to last for four years, but thanks to COVID and her work schedule, things took a little longer than expected.

As it turns out, with each study session documented on social media, and with each complaint about a specific area of the law — first, the would-be lawyer “fucking hate[d]” Constitutional Law, and later revealed that she “[couldn’t] deal with all these fucking hearsay exceptions” — current law students and practicing lawyers couldn’t help but grow a little closer to her. That’s why people were positively jubilant when Kardashian announced that in 2021 that after three prior failures, she’d finally passed the baby bar exam.

Here are few photos Kardashian shared to Instagram from her graduation ceremony:

In one of the videos shared to Instagram, Jessica Jackson, one of Kardashian’s legal mentors, spoke of her pathway to eventual practice as “one of the most inspiring legal journeys we’ve ever seen”:

“Over the course of this program, Kim has dedicated 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year, for six straight years. That’s a total of 5,184 hours of legal study — that’s time she carved out while raising four children, running businesses, filming television shows, and showing up in courtrooms to advocate for others.”

Kardashian reportedly took the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE) in March, and it seems that she may be gearing up to take the California Bar Exam, either this summer or in February.

To paraphrase what Elle Woods said at the end of Legally Blonde, “You did it!” Congratulations to Kim Kardashian on this very special achievement. She’ll be playing a lawyer this fall in Hulu’s legal drama All’s Fair, and hopefully, she’ll soon be able to play a lawyer in real life.
