Italy’s retail sales slide in March; online sales down for third month
Italy’s retail trade index fell by 0.5 per cent in value and volume in March 2025, MoM, Istat reported. In Q1 2025, retail sales value dropped by 0.2 per cent and volume by 0.5 per cent. YoY, sales value fell by 2.8 per cent and volume by 4.2 per cent. All distribution channels saw YoY declines, with online sales down 1.3 per cent for the third straight month.
