Nanobubbles for Ischemic Myocardium
In article 2404477, Jiawei Tian, Guo-Qing Du, and co-workers designed indocyanine green-functionalized nanobubbles targeted with an ischemic myocardium-targeting peptide. These nanobubbles effectively target cardiomyocytes and enable multimodal (fluorescence, ultrasonic, and photoacoustic) imaging of ischemic myocardium in mice with coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD). When loaded with tannic acid, these nanobubbles significantly ameliorate myocardial ischemia and fibrosis in CMD mice.
