EU-US trade should be guided by 'respect', not ‘threats’: Sefcovic
After President Donald Trump’s threat to impose a 50-per cent tariff on all goods from the EU, the bloc’s trade commissioner Maros Sefcovic said it is committed to securing a trade deal with the US based on ‘mutual respect’, not ‘threats’. "The EU's fully engaged, committed to securing a deal that works for both," he said on X after a call with the US trade representative and commerce secretary.
