1,724 foreign firms announced projects in Germany in 2024; 2% YoY drop
Germany Trade & Invest recently said 1,724 foreign companies announced greenfield and expansion projects in 2024 excluding mergers and acquisitions—down by 2 per cent YoY, but comparable to numbers in the last five years. The US led the countries with 229 projects, followed by Switzerland and China, while the EU was the leading source region. Chinese firms initiated 199 FDI projects in 2024.
