UK Q1 GDP data may be amplifying economy’s H1 2025 strength: S&P GMI
Though official data showed the UK enjoying a growth surge in Q1 2025, recent years have seen similar strong periods of growth early in the year to have faded as the year proceeds, S&P Global Market Intelligence said. The company said there is a hint of the data not fully accounting for seasonal trends, meaning growth is possibly being exaggerated in the first half and understated in the second.
