Stagnation expected in Germany in Q2 2025: ifo Institute
Germany’s economic recovery momentum of Q1 2025 cannot be maintained over the rest of the year, the ifo Institute for Economic Research has said. Stagnation is expected in Q2 2025 as there was a noticeable decline in industrial production and exports in April. Price-adjusted GDP will rise by 0.3 per cent in 2025 and by 1.5 per cent in 2026. However, the outlook remains cautiously positive.
