Mining cadastre that breaches must-be-Zambia-hosted stipulation reportedly reactivated
As of Monday morning June 10, it seems that Zambia’s Ministry of Mines and Mineral Development has reactivated the cadastre portal that is non-locally hosted amid the in-country-hosted version being found wanting. “No doubt there was some rapid foot movement behind the scenes. One wonders what happened to the ‘must be hosted in Zambia’ criteria,” was a note put out by a mining company, amid comments made on LinkedIn including, “very inconveniencing”.
