Galvanic Cell‐Stimulated Mesenchymal Stem Cell Mesh for Enhanced Pelvic Organ Prolapse Treatment (Adv. Healthcare Mater. 12/2025)
Advanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 12, May 6, 2025.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse Treatment
An electrical stimulation-enhaced stem cell mesh that can be implanted transvaginally is proposed to offer women with pelvic organ prolapse (POP) an alternative treatment option. A galvanic cell film sustains a low-voltage electric field that mobilizes the stem cells, providing all-around better outcomes in rejuvenating the pelvic environment than do the conventional stem cell therapies for POP. Further, the mesh is made of all bioresorbable materials, ensuring implatation safety and exempting removal surgery.
