Exotec achieves SOC2 Type 2 compliance

Global warehouse robotics provider Exotec has achieved SOC2 Type 2 cybersecurity compliance. The framework, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), recognises the strict controls Exotec has in place to protect customer data.

This comes just a few months after obtaining ISO/IEC 27001, the international standard for security management. The two are complementary: ISO/IEC 27001 recognises the strict security processes Exotec has in place, and SOC2 Type 2 is operational, proving that these processes are effective.

Warehouses manage a wealth of sensitive information, including inventory figures and customer data. Faced with today’s volatile supply chain, businesses need agile warehouse operations, requiring a level of automation to remain competitive. As technology becomes further integrated into the modern warehouse, it is especially crucial that providers take a proactive approach to protecting customers.

Exotec implements a three-layered approach across technical, functional and organisational security, to ensure consistency in protecting customer data across the board. Additionally, the company maintains compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for data protection. These requirements, including both SOC2 Type 2 Compliance and ISO/IEC27001, mandate frequent audits and renewals, requiring Exotec to maintain a high level of standards at all times.

Pascal Ferard, Chief Information Security Officer at Exotec said, “This proactive approach is increasingly important as we continue to grow and serve large, global Fortune 500 organisations with strict security requirements. Both security frameworks ensure organisations’ automation systems are compliant with cybersecurity regulations no matter the region they’re operating in. Industry-leading safeguards for our robotics system, including 24/7 monitoring and comprehensive staff training to recognise cybersecurity threats, are a key differentiator for Exotec in the market.

“Beyond compliance, achieving both ISO/IEC 27001 certification and SOC2 Type 2 compliance reflects our belief that cybersecurity is a driver of trust and value creation. I see this approach as a long-term commitment to our clients and to the ongoing security of our offerings.”The post Exotec achieves SOC2 Type 2 compliance first appeared on Warehouse & Logistics News.
