Australia’s annual inflation holds steady at 2.4% in March quarter

Australia’s CPI rose 0.9 per cent in March 2025 quarter, keeping annual inflation steady at 2.4 per cent. Monthly CPI also rose 2.4 per cent in March. Clothing and footwear inflation eased to 0.7 per cent, while garment prices fell 1.4 per cent year-on-year. The trimmed mean remained at 2.7 per cent. Annual goods inflation increased to 1.3 per cent, up from 0.8 per cent in the previous quarter.
