Wild Idol launches pairing menu in The Pig hotels
Wild Idol has teamed up with The Pig hotel group to launch an exclusive alcohol-free pairing menu for spring. Wild Idol, the premium, naturally alcohol-free sparkling wine alternative, is continuing its partnership with The Pig Hotel Group this spring through expertly curated pairings designed to step up the alcohol-free dining experience. Designed to complement the bright, fresh flavours of spring, Wild Idol’s Sparkling Rosé and Sparkling White will be matched with The Pig’s seasonal dishes, offering a sophisticated, alcohol-free alternative for guests who choose not to drink.

Mackerel mode

To start, mackerel with golden beetroot and garden herb dressing is paired with Wild Idol Sparkling Rosé. The rosé’s vibrant acidity and fine bubbles cut through the rich, oily texture of the mackerel, while red fruit notes of raspberry and strawberry, along with hints of grapefruit and rhubarb, enhance the earthy sweetness of the beetroot and the freshness of the garden herbs. Next, a spring vegetable salad with Westcombe ricotta is beautifully complemented by Wild Idol Sparkling White. The drink's crisp green apple and white peach flavours elevate the dish’s freshness, while zesty acidity balances the creamy texture of the ricotta. Delicate floral and green tea notes add nuance, and the fine bubbles help cleanse the palate between bites. For dessert, New Forest strawberries with puffed quinoa and Dorset yoghurt sorbet is paired with Wild Idol's Sparkling Rosé. The wine’s red fruit profile mirrors the strawberries for a harmonious pairing, while its crisp acidity balances the creaminess of the sorbet. Rhubarb and grapefruit notes provide a refreshing contrast, with fine bubbles lending a light finish.

Best of British produce

The ‘Around Our Kitchen Table’ midweek lunch menu with Wild Idol pairings is now available across The Pig Hotel Group. It's not the first time the drinks brand has partnered with The Pig hotels, having launched an exclusive alcohol-free spritz cocktail in its venues last summer. Its Sparkling Rosé, was mixed with homemade lime basil cordial, raspberry kombucha, and Fever-Tree Mexican Lime Soda, and served in a wine glass filled with ice, garnished with a generous sprig of basil. "We are proud to continue our partnership with The Pig Hotels, bringing Wild Idol’s premium alcohol-free sparkling wines to a menu that celebrates the best of British produce," says Paul Beavis, CEO of Wild Idol. "Our Sparkling White and Rosé pair naturally with The Pig’s new spring dishes, offering a sophisticated, inclusive option for guests that enhances every dining occasion without compromise." Wild Idol is a naturally alcohol-free sparkling wine alternative, handcrafted by expert winemakers. Vegan, Halal-certified, and gluten-free, it has never contained alcohol.
