Dante Takes Over Claridge’s This Summer—Martinis, Mayfair, and Manhattan Magic

This summer, downtown New York meets the heart of Mayfair as the award-winning Manhattan cocktail bar and restaurant Dante heads across the pond for a month-long residency at Claridge’s Restaurant, beginning Monday, June 30.

Dubbed Dante Takes Claridge’s, the collaboration promises to bring the unmistakable energy of NYC’s aperitivo scene to London—think signature cocktails, a nostalgic, New York-inspired menu, and weekend brunches done in true Claridge’s fashion (read: decadent, elegant, and absolutely delicious).

Founded over a century ago as an Italian café in Greenwich Village, Dante has become a New York institution, famed for its impeccable cocktails, old-school charm, and being crowned World’s Best Bar by 50 Best in 2019. “It’s a real pinch-me moment to be in residence at Claridge’s, one of my favorite hotels in the world,” said Dante co-founder Linden Pride, who—along with his wife and co-founder Nathalie Hudson—will be in residence for the duration. “We can’t wait to raise a martini with our London friends and family.”

Claridge’s own Simon Attridge, Culinary Director, added, “We’re so looking forward to welcoming our longtime friends from Dante. I’m sure London will fall in love with the same glamour and generous hospitality that makes Dante so special.”

Here’s what to expect:

Photo Credit: The Maybourne GroupThe menu will celebrate American icons with a Dante twist—Claridge’s x Dante sliders, seafood towers, shrimp cocktails, and New York strip on the bone with chimichurri. Of course, Dante’s signature burger makes an appearance—piled high with smoked bacon, pickled beets, American cheese, spicy mayo, and more.

Behind the bar, Aperitivo Hour will become a daily ritual, starring Dante favorites like the Garibaldi (yes, the one with that famous fluffy orange juice), Dante Martini, Negroni Bianco, and a Chocolate Negroni fountain that sounds too good to share.

On weekends, it’s all about New York-style brunch—buttermilk pancakes with bacon, banana bread with ricotta and honey, and huevos rancheros served with bacon, salsa verde, avocado, and fried eggs.

The residency runs from Monday, June 30 to Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Claridge’s Restaurant, located at Brook St, London W1K 4HR
