THE WHAT?  Boots is set to introduce a new skincare range under its own brand, Modern Chemistry, with products launching in July 2025 as part of a broader wellness-focused initiative.

THE DETAILS Modern Chemistry is a new in-house brand developed by Boots, initially launched with a range of nine supplements. The line will expand in July to include a science-backed skincare offering. The skincare products are positioned as ingredient-led and will sit within the £4.50–£20 price range, in line with the supplement products. The formulations have been developed by Boots’ internal team, including cosmetic chemists and biochemists.

The skincare line will be available exclusively at Boots stores and on boots.com. Product specifics have not yet been disclosed, but the brand’s positioning indicates a focus on efficacy and bioavailable ingredients.

THE WHY? The launch marks Boots’ continued expansion into proprietary personal care lines amid ongoing demand for functional, ingredient-focused skincare. The development of Modern Chemistry follows a wider retail trend of major pharmacy chains building own-label beauty and wellness portfolios with clear scientific positioning.
