Forward Kirill Kaprizov and defenceman Jared Spurgeon have been activated from injured reserve, the team announced Thursday.
Spurgeon suffered an apparent leg injury when he was slew-footed by Nashville’s Zachary L’Heureux on Dec. 31. The 35-year-old captain has four goals and 13 points in 32 games this season.
Kaprizov hasn’t played since suffering a lower-body injury on Dec. 23 and subsequently being placed on the long-term injured reserve. Despite missing 13 games, Kaprizov remains the Wild’s scoring leader with 23 goals and 27 assists for 50 points in 34 games.
The Wild (28-15-4) are second in the Central division and will take on Utah HC in their next game on Thursday, with both players expected to return.
