You know, the guy who took his team to a Super Bowl and has five career playoff wins to his name.

Daniels faces Goff and the number one seeded Detroit Lions on Saturday night in the divisional round.

While Warner is placing his faith on the rookie, he is by no means slighting Goff.

He just believes that Daniels’ skillset opens up a lot more possibility, especially when things aren’t going perfect.

And that’s hard to argue.

“This is one of those situations, where in those moments, you look at the entirety of the skillset,” Warner said on NFL Network’s Gameday Morning.

“As great as Jared Goff is, [I] played the game very much like him, you were so subjective to everything else going on around you.

“When you have a Jayden Daniels, or a Patrick Mahomes, things can be chaotic and bad around you, and they have the ability to overcome that, more so than some other quarterbacks.

“The Lamar Jacksons and Josh Allens have that ability.

“And that to me, leans you in a direction, when both guys have been great, in the moment he gives you a little bit more in what he can do based on what’s needed.”

Goff is more of a throwback, stand in the pocket, not going to move around a lot, make good decisions with the football, type of quarterback.

Similar to Warner, as he said.

Daniels on the other hand, is the electrifying dual-threat explosive playmaker who can make things happen out of thin air.

Two different playing styles and skillsets for the same position.

Warner prefers the latter.

That left fans questioning the Hall of Famer’s decision.

‘Kurt has always been a hater. I guess the comparisons between the Lions offense and the “greatest show on turf” have him a little jelly…??’ another fan added.

‘How catastrophically stupid,’ another fan noted.

Luckily for this specific discourse, the debate will be settled on the field in Detroit.

We’ll see if Warner gets the last laugh.
