Domino’s Partners With Cash App for New Payment Options

Domino’s has announced that it has partnered with Cash App to offer new payment options for Gen Z customers.

According to QSR, this is one of Cash App Pay’s first restaurant collaborations, and it will provide next-generation consumers with the choice and freedom they seek at checkout.

“We’re all about providing convenience to customers, and that includes making sure their checkout experience is seamless,” said Mark Messing, Domino’s vice president of global digital marketing, in a statement to the outlet. “We are excited to give them another easy and convenient way to pay for their order.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Domino’s as this marks our first-ever pizza restaurant partner for Cash App Pay. Through this integration we are able to help them unlock incremental value with next generation consumers who we know are looking for convenience and flexibility at checkout,” said Alex Fisher, head of revenue, North America, Cash App Commerce, in a statement to the outlet.

Customers who are looking to pay with Cash App simply have to select the option in the Domino’s app.

Domino’s Is the Latest Company To Offer Alternative Payment Options

Domino’s is just the latest company to offer alternative payment options for customers. Recently, Costco announced that it was partnering with Affirm to offer flexible payment plans to its members.

According to Bloomberg, accepted Costco customers can select monthly Affirm payment plans for Costco purchases.

Affirm is a top buy-now, pay-later company in the United States, alongside Klarna Group Plc and products from PayPal Holdings Inc. and Block Inc. The business has become more competitive as consumers choose pay-over-time options rather than credit cards, especially when interest rates have climbed and inflation remains high.

Costco, the third-largest retailer in the United States, has not yet partnered with Klarna.

Affirm and Klarna competed for relationships with retailers in the U.S. and Europe. Klarna has engaged Snoop Dogg and Lady Gaga as brand ambassadors to help raise its profile. Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, previously partnered with Affirm, but it has now formed a partnership with Klarna, which just announced an arrangement with OnePay, a Walmart-backed fintech.
